Model Answers and follow up questions to describe a village near
hometown IELTS cue card:
Introduction:
Well, with time people’s preference to move to cities is increasing to enjoy
better facilities as most rural areas lack the basic amenities.
What
the name of the village? and How far it is?
But, here I would like to take the opportunity to talk about one village which
I find unique, and it is approximately 15 kms from my hometown. The name of
this village is Chakkar, and I got to know about this place when one of my
friends recently shared a cost on Facebook.
He shared a picture
of a very beautiful artificial lake with boats and hundreds of palm trees
around. I got astonished to read more about it because I got to know this
village actually is within the approximity of my hometown. Being so curious to
know more about this place and to see it with my naked eyes, I planned to visit
there with my friends the very next day.
What
do you know about it?
To be honest, it is very hard to describe what I saw because this
village is quite unique in itself and so beautiful unlike other villages in my
area, it has all the modern facilities. It has a public school, a college,
multispeciality hospital and other facilities for which generally villagers have
to rely or depend on cities.
From the locals, I
got to know most people of this village live in Canada for ages and for that
reason, it’s also known as NRI’s village. Well-settled people send a lot of
financial aid to the villagers, and the management also plays a superb role in
effectively utilizing the funds.
That’s the reason
why today this village is one of the prosperous villages in my country. The
locals also told me that it is one of the only villages self-sufficient in
terms of energy production, and the villagers also harvest the rainwater. I
think this is perhaps the reason why this village has received many rewards as
an eco-friendly village.
Apart from this,
Chakkar has a couple of parks as well as playgrounds. This is to ensure the
residents’ good health and encourage youngsters to take part in sports. In
fact, in the recent Olympics, one of the athletes was from this village only. l
really enjoyed my visit to this village to the fullest, and in the evening we
also enjoyed boating in the same lake that we saw in the pic.
Do
you like it or not?
Since I really enjoyed the green and clean surroundings of this place,
whenever we friends are free on weekends, we prefer to visit chakkar.
Conclusion:
Overall, it is a fantastic village that is nearby my hometown.
